[edit] Installing ePSXe on Windows

This is a simple process so I will only use bullet points.

  • Download the windows version of ePSXe here
  • Open the exe file and follow the standard installation process (most people should be able to continuously click 'Next'
  • Download the SPCH-1001.BIN file for here. Save it to the BIOS folder inside your ePSXe installation (probably C:\Program Files\ePSXe\BIOS)
  • Download the epsxe-plugins file from here. unzip it into your ePSXe installation (so that all of the files end up in the 'plugins' folder
  • Open ePSXe, follow the config process, select SPCH-1001 as your BIOS file, and choose the correct plugins for your graphics and sound card.

[edit] Common Problems

If problems occur, these are usually due to your plugin selection. Try choosing a different video plugin and playing around for a little bit. If you still have a problem, try asking on the EmuLounge Forums (remember to follow the rules and give as much info as possible for a timely reply)

The first time ePSXe is loaded, It may complain about zlib1.dll, get it here here, and extract it to C:\Windows\system
